In the wide-open technology landscape, VoIP has become quite a household name. It’s hard not to search the Internet without coming up with a list of reasons to switch to VoIP; with its many benefits, it’s an attractive option that many businesses have yet to switch over to. For St. Elizabeth Physicians, making the switch was crucial for its phone system.
"We needed a more comprehensive strategy when evaluating our phone system and our voice, data and Internet services," said Dr. Glenn A. Loomis, CEO, St. Elizabeth Physicians, in a press statement.
That’s where Advanced Technology Consulting, INc. (ATC) comes in. The provider of outsourced telecom services helped the healthcare organization get a much needed upgrade for its communications system. St. Elizabeth’s 82 locations are comprised of 190 doctors, so efficiency was of utmost importance.
Choosing a system from provider West IP Communications (News - Alert), the organization was able to implement a system that was not only efficient for its daily operations, but for patients calling in as well. Hold times were cut in half and transferred patient calls became a whole lot easier.
This scenario highlights how business VoIP providers and outsourcers can be of value to large organizations shopping for a VoIP communications system. Today, customers rely more than ever on the expertise of resellers and solutions providers to deliver the most reliable, value-added VoIP deployments for their businesses and organizations.
The growing adoption of VoIP makes it easier for companies to employ more features in their phone systems. The increasing recognition of a need for efficiency with lower costs within an organization is an influence that's helping to drive the acceptance of VoIP in the business world.
